Alaska
W. Norman Kent worked in Alaska from 1975 until 1984. Most of this period was spent working the North
Slope, during which he was the company representative on all but one of the Union Oil of California
company's interest wells, was a principal interpreter in assessing the acreage in all State and Federal Lease
sales, and conducted and participated in geologic field parties covering nearly the entire North Slope. Four
of the field parties were dedicated to the structure and stratigraphy of the Arctic National Wildlife Range. A
highlight of this work on the North Slope was involvement in discovery of the Endicott Field. Mr. Kent
generated the prospect within Union Oil.
